LISA RICHARD

Bio
Hailing from New Mills, New Brunswick, Lisa Richard began demonstrating her vocal talents at the bright young age of four. She immediately entered the music business by belting out "Ballroom Blitz" for family and friends, charging a quarter per performance. Lisa spent her childhood days singing with a stick subbing in for a microphone, making up lyrics and letting loose with her friends. By the time she found herself in university, she found herself immersed in karaoke and singing at kitchen parties. While studying in Toronto, she began a two-year stint singing harmonies and backup with local band Frank Perry’s Slice at such notable venues as the Horseshoe Tavern, Lee's Palace, and the Opera House. Eventually Lisa found herself heading back east, settling in Halifax to explore the city's vast musical opportunities. It was not long before she was inspired by Theresa Melenfant and her powerhouse pipes. After hearing Theresa's performance she was on a mission. She formed her own cover band with a troupe of talented musicians called Walter’s Patio and for over 5 years, played around the Maritimes. She has since created amazing opportunities for herself by singing alongside Hal Bruce, Shirley Jackson, Carson Downey, Matt Minglewood, and the George Carter Jr. Band. Lisa is a talented singer, treating fans to amazing, powerful vocals. Her range extends from rock to blues to country. Have a listen and you won't be disappointed.
